Emery County announced on Mar. 23 that it is seeking two qualified individuals to serve on the Emery County Planning Commission Board.

The Planning Commission plays a key role in reviewing land use applications, making recommendations on zoning and development proposals, and guiding the county’s future growth. The announcement highlights the importance of community involvement in shaping local development policies.

Applicants must be residents of Emery County and should have an interest in community planning, land use, and public service. Responsibilities for board members include attending monthly Planning Commission meetings, reviewing development proposals and land use applications, making recommendations to the County Commission, and participating in long-range planning efforts.

Interested individuals can obtain a volunteer form online at emery.utah.gov or from the Clerk/Auditors office during regular business hours. Applications will be accepted through the end of day on April 17.

For more information about these positions or the application process, interested parties are encouraged to contact the Emery County Commission Office at 435-381-3570.
