Senator John Curtis, who represents Utah’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted several key issues and events on his social media account.

On April 1, 2026, Curtis acknowledged Utah’s involvement in a major space mission, stating: “Utah has played a crucial role in supporting today’s Artemis II launch—with teams in Promontory and Magna having built the SLS Launch Abort System and solid rocket boosters. You make Utah and our nation proud! Wishing the crew a safe and successful mission https://t.co/UcgjreHCEV”.

The following day, April 2, 2026, Curtis addressed environmental concerns affecting his state and the broader region: “Protecting the Great Salt Lake is a critical public health and economic issue not only for Utah, but also for the entire American West as this historic drought continues. I applaud the Trump Administration for taking this significant step to provide resources and build momentum”.

On April 3, 2026, Curtis commented on governance and constitutional principles: “Supporting decisive action from the Commander-in-Chief and insisting on constitutional accountability in the long term are not contradictions, but a tension mandated by our founding documents. History teaches us important lessons in navigating that tension. https://t.co/FMzasdBscO”.

Curtis has served as a member of Congress since 2017 after replacing Jason Chaffetz. He was born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and currently resides in Provo. Curtis earned his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 1985.
