Senator John Curtis, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Utah’s 3rd district since 2017, highlighted recent tax benefits for Americans in a series of social media posts on April 15, 2026.

In one post, Curtis wrote, “→ More than 30 million seniors are benefitting from an enhanced deduction of over $7,500 → More than 25 million workers are claiming no tax on overtime → More than six million are benefiting from no tax on tips” (April 15, 2026). In another message published at the same time, he added, “→ The average tax return is more than $3,400, an increase of 11% → Nearly half of filers are claiming new tax cuts → Utah families are seeing up to $7,700 more in real take-home pay → Five million children have been registered for Trump Accounts https://t.co/RCMPe47jIt” (April 15, 2026). Curtis concluded his remarks by stating, “This is how we fuel opportunity, by letting Americans keep more of what they earn and setting children up for strong futures. https://t.co/RTOB3wlsXn” (April 15, 2026).

Curtis was born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and resides in Provo. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985. Curtis has represented Utah’s 3rd District since replacing Jason Chaffetz in Congress.
