Senator John Curtis, a U.S. Congressman representing Utah’s 3rd district since 2017, recently highlighted his engagement with rural and agricultural communities in Utah through a series of posts on social media.

On March 30, 2026, Curtis emphasized the significance of collaboration between local and federal entities: “Utah’s rural communities have an important voice, and strong local and federal partnerships are key to making sure that voice is heard and acted on. It was great to meet with Bluff Mayor Josh Ewing for a discussion on issues most pressing to his town and San Juan County.”

The following day, Curtis focused on agriculture’s role in the state economy. On March 31, he wrote: “Our farmers and ranchers are the backbone of Utah’s economy and way of life. Great meeting with the @UtahFarmBureau and @USU to discuss how we can support agriculture, strengthen rural communities, and keep Utah growing.”

Later that same day, Curtis addressed preparations for the upcoming international sporting event: “With the 2034 Winter Olympics on the horizon, partnerships between local and federal leaders will be key to making the Games a success for Park City and our entire state. Great to meet with Park City Mayor Ryan Dickey to discuss keeping our communities strong while preparing to”

Curtis has represented Utah’s 3rd District since replacing Jason Chaffetz in 2017. He was born in Salt Lake City in 1960, graduated from Brigham Young University in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree, and currently resides in Provo.
