Senator John Curtis, who represents Utah’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of topics on his social media account, including the government shutdown, antisemitism, and an upcoming event focused on political violence and civility.
On November 10, 2025, Curtis informed followers of his appearance on local radio: ” I’ll be joining @kslnewsradio at 9:00 am MT this morning to discuss the latest of the shutdown and Utah leading the charge on energy innovation. Tune in https://t.co/cbKOozB6ri” (posted at 15:42 UTC).
Later that day, he commented on current debates within conservative circles regarding antisemitism: “Antisemitism is testing the moral backbone of the right. When voices normalize hate, it betrays what conservatism stands for: faith, freedom, and the dignity of every person. Our strength comes from moral clarity, and Utah’s values of faith and respect will light the way. https://t.co/GqHMMqFmxB” (posted at 18:55 UTC).
In another post on November 10, Curtis announced an upcoming public discussion about political violence and civility: “This Wednesday, I’ll join Senator Kelly and Dana Bash at UVU for a conversation on political violence and restoring civility in America. Tune in at 3pm MT / 5pm ET on CNN All Access or get tickets at the link below! https://t.co/gA5uYD6ACU https://t.co/HojE5BRbTx” (posted at 22:12 UTC).
Curtis has served as a member of Congress since replacing Jason Chaffetz in 2017. He was born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and currently resides in Provo. Curtis earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in 1985.
