Senator John Curtis, a U.S. Congressman representing Utah’s 3rd district since 2017, recently highlighted key legislative initiatives and international agreements on his social media accounts.

On January 15, 2026, Curtis addressed the challenges posed by Utah’s rapid population growth and the need for effective urban planning. In a post, he stated, “Utah is growing quickly, and that growth must be paired with smart, coordinated transportation planning and more attainable housing. Today, I introduced the Build HUBS Act with @SenLBR to help maximize transportation investments, make better use of public land, and empower”. In another post dated January 16, 2026, Curtis commented on developments in U.S.-Taiwan relations. He wrote: “This is a fantastic deal with Taiwan. It demonstrates the importance of our relationship and affirms Taiwan’s commitment to deepen economic ties with the U.S. I commend Secretary Lutnick, Ambassador Greer, Ambassador Alexander Yui Tah-ray, and Vice Premier Cheng Li-chiun for https://t.co/Mlu7Mbu4v7”.

Curtis has been active in Congress since replacing Jason Chaffetz in 2017. Born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and currently residing in Provo at age 62, Curtis graduated from Brigham Young University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
