Senator John Curtis, who represents Utah’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted his engagements with local industry leaders and legislative efforts through a series of posts on social media.
On September 23, 2025, Curtis shared his experience with ski industry representatives, stating: “Utah’s snow and slopes are second to none, just ask the Olympians who train here. Grateful to spend time with ski industry leaders (and even try on a gold medal!) as we work to keep Utah’s outdoors open and thriving for all.”
Two days later, on September 25, he posted about a meeting with financial sector representatives: “Enjoyed catching up with the Utah Banking Association, who represents 40+ banks and 70+ associate members all working to keep Utah’s economy moving. Grateful for the good conversation and the work they do to help Utah families and businesses thrive.”
On September 26, Curtis referenced legislative action aimed at forest management: “The Fix Our Forest Act will cut red tape and give those managing our forests the tools they need to keep our communities safe. That’s why leaders across the West are rallying behind the Fix Our Forests Act.”
Curtis has served in Congress since replacing Jason Chaffetz in 2017 and is known for his focus on issues relevant to Utah’s economic development and natural resources. Born in Salt Lake City in 1960, Curtis resides in Provo and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University.
