Senator John Curtis highlights $38M Park City loan and support for water infrastructure

Senator John Curtis, who represents Utah’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, announced on March 16, 2026, that Park City has been awarded a $38 million water infrastructure loan to help prepare for the 2034 Winter Games and bolster Utah’s drinking water systems.

In his post, Curtis stated: “Proud to see Park City awarded a $38 million water infrastructure loan, which will help Utah prepare for the 2034 Winter Games, strengthen critical drinking water infrastructure, and support the long-term health of the local and state economy.” (March 16, 2026).

Curtis also expressed gratitude to partners involved in supporting these initiatives. In another message posted on the same day, he wrote: “Thank you to @epaleezeldin and @EPARegion8 for your crucial support. Learn more about my efforts to strengthen community water programs like these amid Utah’s rapid population growth:” (March 16, 2026).

Later that day, Curtis commented on Susie Wiles’ service at the White House and her recent breast cancer diagnosis: “Through the noise of Washington, Susie Wiles has been a steady and respected presence at the White House. Wishing her strength and a full recovery as she faces breast cancer.” (March 16, 2026).

John Curtis has represented Utah’s 3rd District in Congress since replacing Jason Chaffetz in 2017. He was born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and currently resides in Provo. Curtis graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985.
