Senator John Curtis, who represents Utah’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted several key initiatives and concerns affecting Utah through a series of posts on his official social media account.

On March 9, 2026, Curtis congratulated the Utah Department of Transportation for being chosen to participate in a new Federal Aviation Administration program. He stated: “The U.S. is leading the future of flight, and Utah is at the center of that innovation. Congratulations to @UtahDOT on being selected for the FAA’s new Advanced Air Mobility pilot program! This first-of-its-kind initiative will bring next-gen aircraft and high-paying jobs to Utah https://t.co/wlyNtg2gRr”.

Addressing environmental issues on March 10, 2026, Curtis wrote about efforts to improve water quality and manage invasive species in Utah Lake. He posted: “Water quality and invasive species are primary concerns for Utah Lake’s ecosystem and long-term health. This research center will bolster the Utah Lake Authority’s efforts to improve the lake by advancing research initiatives and providing educational resources for the local”.

Later that same day, Curtis commented on federal fiscal policy: “The national debt is over $38 trillion and, without action, we’re pushing the bill onto our children and grandchildren. It’s high time for reform, which is why we’ve introduced legislation to stabilize spending and secure a better economic future for rising generations:”.

John Curtis has represented Utah’s 3rd district since 2017 after succeeding Jason Chaffetz. Born in Salt Lake City in 1960, he currently resides in Provo. Curtis graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985.
