Senator John Curtis, who has represented Utah’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative achievements and ongoing collaborations with state officials.

On April 14, 2026, Curtis emphasized the importance of collaboration among government entities. He stated, “Strong partnerships across all levels of government ensure our policies are both effective and complementary. It was great to meet with members of the Utah Legislature and host them at the Capitol during their visit to Washington. I’m grateful for their dedication to serving the” (April 14, 2026).

Later that day, Curtis announced progress on a bipartisan legislative effort: “The Alex Gate Safety Act, legislation I introduced with @SenAmyKlobuchar, passed out of @SenateCommerce today! By codifying standards for simple and affordable safety mechanisms, our bill will help prevent tragedies like those of 7-year-old Alex Quanbeck and Esther Nakajjigo.” (April 14, 2026).

On April 15, he commented on tax policy outcomes for Utah residents: “It’s Tax Day—and this time around, Utahns across the board are seeing bigger refunds. Last year, we prevented the largest tax hike in American history and passed new, meaningful tax relief for hardworking American families. Here are the stats ↓” (April 15, 2026).

Curtis replaced Jason Chaffetz in Congress in 2017 and has maintained a focus on both federal and state-level issues since then. Born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and residing in Provo, Curtis holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University.
