Senator John Curtis, a U.S. Congressman representing Utah’s 3rd district since 2017, used his Twitter account on March 31, 2026, to highlight recent efforts in U.S.-Taiwan relations and public land management in the West.
In one post, Curtis emphasized the importance of the U.S. alliance with Taiwan: “Our alliance with Taiwan is one of the most strategically and morally significant partnerships America has in the Indo-Pacific. I was honored to be back in Taiwan with a bipartisan Senate delegation to meet with key government officials and civil society leaders, including https://t.co/mHSf5NVjGa” (March 31, 2026).
He also invited followers to learn more about his delegation’s objectives: “Learn more about our delegation objectives and how we are working to advance joint U.S. and Taiwan interests in the region here: https://t.co/1zN3UNAzzC” (March 31, 2026).
Later that day, Curtis welcomed Forest Service Chief Tom Schultz and staff to Utah, stating: “I want to warmly welcome @USFS Chief Tom Schultz and the all the hardworking Forest Service staff to Utah.
Nearly 90 percent of our nation’s public lands are located in the West, and the best decisions about how to manage them are made closest to the land itself.” (March 31, 2026).
Curtis was born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and currently resides in Provo. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985.
