Senator John Curtis highlights Utah’s innovation economy and military support

Senator John Curtis, who represents Utah’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, highlighted Utah’s role in innovation and national defense through a series of posts on February 19, 2026.

In one post, Curtis emphasized Utah’s reputation as a leader in technological advancement and entrepreneurship. He stated, “Utah is one of the fastest-growing innovation economies in the country and has always been a place where bold ideas take root and grow. Today’s announcement from @uspto reinforces Utah’s leadership in research, technology, and entrepreneurship and ensures that our innovators” (February 19, 2026).

A subsequent post included only a link: “https://t.co/oLx2MilcEn” (February 19, 2026).

Later that day, Curtis addressed military readiness at Hill Air Force Base (HAFB). He wrote, “Defending our nation starts with ensuring our service members have the resources and support they need to respond to threats. At @HAFB, we discussed its role in Operation Midnight Hammer, efforts to improve locality pay, and ways to strengthen mission capabilities. With more than” (February 19, 2026).

Curtis has served in Congress since replacing Jason Chaffetz in 2017. Born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and currently residing in Provo, he graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985.
