Senator John Curtis, who represents Utah’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted his engagement with constituents and policy discussions through a series of posts on social media.
On March 16, Curtis wrote about his experience meeting with young delegates from Utah participating in a national program: “The United States @SenateYouth Program gives outstanding high school students a firsthand look at public service and the policymaking process in Washington. I enjoyed meeting with Utah’s delegates and learning more about their accomplishments, ambitions, and hopes for the future.”
The following day, Curtis emphasized bipartisan cooperation during an event with local officials: “Bipartisan problem-solving happens at every level of government, even if it’s overshadowed by a narrative of political polarization. I appreciated joining @ParkCityGovt Mayor Ryan Dickey for a fireside chat on tackling big issues—like climate and the national debt—through a lens” (March 17).
Later that same day, Curtis promoted his recent radio appearance to discuss legislative priorities: “In case you missed it: I joined @KSLNewsRadio to discuss my support of the SAVE America Act and my views on the Senate filibuster. Listen here ↓” (March 17).
Curtis has represented Utah’s 3rd District since 2017 after succeeding Jason Chaffetz. He was born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and currently resides in Provo. Curtis graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985.
