Senator John Curtis shares tributes and celebrates Utah athletes on social media

Senator John Curtis, a U.S. Congressman representing Utah’s 3rd district since 2017, shared a series of updates on his social media account highlighting local and national events between February 20 and February 22, 2026.

On February 20, Curtis paid tribute to an advocate for ALS awareness, stating, “Eric Dane was a powerful advocate for all those affected by ALS. I join so many others in mourning his loss.”

Later the same day, he posted about his experiences in Utah: “Highs and, well, more highs from my week in Utah!” (February 20).

Two days later, Curtis congratulated American athletes with ties to Utah who competed internationally. He wrote on February 22: “Congratulations to the @TeamUSA athletes, especially the 70+ with Utah ties, on a historic finish in Italy. Your determination, grit, and resilience make us proud “

Curtis has served as a congressional representative for Utah’s 3rd District since replacing Jason Chaffetz in 2017. Born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and currently residing in Provo at age 62, Curtis graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985.
