Senator John Curtis, a U.S. Congressman representing Utah’s 3rd district since 2017, recently shared updates on his activities and views through several posts on social media.
On February 19, 2026, Curtis posted about his visit to Hill Air Force Base: “The service members and civilian personnel at Hill Air Force Base represent the very best of Utah. Enjoyed meeting with leaders at the base to discuss their involvement in recent missions, including Operation Midnight Hammer, and how we can continue to support the @HAFB https://t.co/dWYodNV6Vg”. The post highlighted discussions with base leaders regarding ongoing missions and support for military personnel.
Later that day, Curtis commented on his work across Utah despite winter weather conditions: “The snow isn’t stopping me from making the most of my work in the state this week! Always good to be on the ground meeting with Utahns and getting things done. https://t.co/IfRqyjVOVz” (February 19, 2026).
On February 20, Curtis addressed a recent court decision: “Today’s ruling affirms, despite all the noise of the moment, that the Founders’ system of checks and balances remains strong nearly 250 years later.
Several questions remain unanswered, including what happens to the revenue already collected and how the Administration may use”. In this statement, he referenced enduring constitutional principles while noting unresolved issues related to government revenue.
Curtis has represented Utah’s 3rd District since replacing Jason Chaffetz in Congress in 2017. Born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and currently residing in Provo, Curtis graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985.
