Senator John Curtis, who represents Utah’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted economic growth and business development in Utah through a series of posts on social media.
On February 17, 2026, Curtis wrote, “When Goldman Sachs opened up shop in Utah, they saw the vision—an incredible talent pool of highly skilled and competent workers, a pro-business environment, and a chance for further growth. Today, they employ over 3,500 Utahns who help power one of the world’s leading financial”.
A day later, on February 18, he shared his visit to a local manufacturer: “West Valley-based @silencerco provides high-paying jobs with industry-leading benefits for nearly 300 Utahns. It was great to tour their operations, hear their commitment to an American-first supply chain, and learn how they are helping grow Utah’s economy.”
Continuing his focus on economic issues, Curtis posted on February 19: “A thriving private sector means better jobs, stronger communities, and greater opportunity for Utahns. Great meeting with Chamber West and @SVUTChamber to discuss how we can work together to keep Utah’s economy strong and competitive.”
Curtis has served as the U.S. Representative for Utah’s 3rd district since replacing Jason Chaffetz in 2017. Born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and currently residing in Provo at age 62, Curtis graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985.
