6.8% of citizens unemployed in Carbon County in 2021

Carbon County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.8% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 599 people out of the 20,208 living in Carbon County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Carbon County has increased compared to the 6.6% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Carbon County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.5%.

Of the 8,244 people who had a job during that time, 6 were employed in the Armed Forces and 8,238 belonged to the civilian labor force.
