Rep. John Curtis, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Utah's 3rd district since 2017, recently expressed his views on international relations and domestic political issues through a series of tweets.

On March 12, 2025, Curtis tweeted about the geopolitical tensions involving China and Taiwan. He stated that "The United States shouldn’t tolerate pressure from China to undermine the Taiwanese people. Instead, it should stand by its democratic allies and friends around the world facing pressure and coercion from authoritarian regimes."

The following day, on March 13, 2025, Curtis addressed concerns regarding the federal budgeting process. He noted that "Just as I predicted two weeks ago, our broken budgeting process has yet again put us at the brink of a government shutdown. This is a tale as old as time—since 1974, Congress has met its budget deadline only four times! The system incentivizes shutdown showdowns, endless..." His comments reflect ongoing frustrations with the inefficiencies in governmental financial planning.

Later on March 13, Curtis shared an experience from his engagement with students visiting Washington D.C. He tweeted "Great to spend time with @stjosephutah students from Ogden this week in Washington. I’m always encouraged to see young people engaged in civic life and grateful for the chance to hear their thoughtful questions." This interaction underscores his commitment to fostering civic involvement among youth.
