2021 has 5.4% of Sevier County residents unemployed

Sevier County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 523 people out of the 21,471 living in Sevier County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Sevier County has decreased compared to the 6.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Sevier County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.5%.

Of the 9,147 people who had a job during that time, 13 were employed in the Armed Forces and 9,134 belonged to the civilian labor force.
