Rep. John Curtis, representing Utah's 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has expressed his views on various issues through recent social media posts. Curtis, who succeeded Jason Chaffetz in 2017 and holds a degree from Brigham Young University, is known for his stance on entrepreneurship and international relations.

On January 30, 2025, Curtis addressed concerns about intellectual property theft by Chinese entities. He stated that "Utah is a major hub of entrepreneurship and innovation, and too many of our businesses have seen their intellectual property stolen by Chinese entities—frequently resulting in copycat products sold on sites like Temu."

The following day, January 31, 2025, Curtis showed support for prioritizing the Western Hemisphere in advancing America's interests. He remarked that "I couldn’t agree more with @SecRubio—we can’t advance America’s interests without prioritizing the Western Hemisphere. Having recently been appointed Chair of the @SenateForeign Western Hemisphere Subcommittee, which Secretary Rubio led last Congress, I’m looking forward to…"

Later that same day, he addressed efforts by Chinese Communist Party operatives to influence U.S. officials. He asserted that "To the CCP operatives surveilling and seeking to influence U.S. officials—I’m not intimidated by your efforts. I will continue fighting for freedom and democracy around the world, especially in Hong Kong and Taiwan."
