In a series of statements made on April 2, 2025, Representative John Curtis of Utah's 3rd district shared his insights and legislative efforts on various pressing global and national issues. Curtis, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2017, focused on topics ranging from international diplomacy with Taiwan to addressing wildfire challenges in the American West.

Curtis highlighted the significance of a new legislative bill in a tweet on April 2, 2025, at 13:09 UTC, saying, "Our bill helps countries stand strong in the face of the CCP and strengthen their ties with Taiwan—and aligns with the Administration's goal of ensuring that any U.S. dollars spent abroad are making Americans safer, more secure, and more prosperous."

Later that day, Curtis addressed the increasing threat of wildfires in the American West. At 14:34 UTC, he emphasized in a tweet, "As wildfires become more frequent and destructive in the American West, it’s essential that we strengthen our mitigation and management efforts. Enjoyed sitting down with fire chiefs from Utah to discuss solutions and programs that are critical to protecting our lands."

In another important statement at 18:40 UTC, Curtis remarked on the geopolitical tensions involving Russia. He stated in a tweet, "The United States must work to end Russian aggression and ensure a free and democratic Ukraine—an ally that shares our values. With these sanctions, the Senate is prepared to ramp up the pressure on Russia if it does not agree to long lasting peace."
