On Saturday, March 22, former Wasatch Academy standout Richie Saunders’ current collegiate team the BYU Cougars won 91-89 against the Wisconsin Badgers in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Ball Arena, this was the first game against the Wisconsin Badgers during the championship.

Richie Saunders’ hometown is Riverton.
