Rep. John Curtis, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Utah's 3rd district since 2017, has shared his perspectives on issues affecting both his state and national security through a series of tweets. Curtis, who succeeded Jason Chaffetz, often focuses on matters related to public lands, economic dependencies, and environmental policies.

On January 27, 2025, Curtis addressed the management of public lands in Utah. He stated that "Utahns know best how to manage and protect the lands they’ve been connected to for generations." Highlighting that over two-thirds of Utah is public land, he expressed concern about federal oversight impacting national monuments.

In another tweet dated January 28, 2025, Curtis discussed the United States' reliance on China for critical resources. He warned that "The United States’ dependence on China in critical areas—like microchips and the minerals needed for our defense systems—gravely jeopardizes our economic and national security." He mentioned meeting with David Perdue regarding these concerns.

Finally, on January 29, 2025, Curtis tweeted about his role within the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Environment and Climate Change Subcommittee (EPWGOP). He emphasized that "The work we do in @EPWGOP has major implications for Utah’s environment, energy production capabilities, and economic development." As Chair overseeing chemical safety and waste management among other responsibilities, he looks forward to collaborating with Chairman Shimkus.
