Rep. John Curtis, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Utah’s 3rd district, has been active on social media sharing his perspectives on climate innovation and legislative efforts. Curtis replaced Jason Chaffetz in 2017 and has a background that includes graduating from Brigham Young University in 1985.

On February 11, 2025, Rep. Curtis expressed his views on climate solutions through a tweet emphasizing the importance of innovative technologies over mandates for reducing emissions. He stated, "Innovative technologies—not quick fix, heavy-handed mandates—create long-term solutions to substantially reduce emissions. America leads in climate innovation, and if you look at the data—our emissions have dropped significantly." He contrasted this with China's status as the world's largest emitter.

Later that day, he highlighted legislative progress regarding COVID-19 relief programs by tweeting about extending oversight authority to enhance enforcement against fraud. Curtis remarked, "By extending oversight authority over COVID-19 relief programs, our legislation strengthens enforcement efforts and holds fraudsters accountable for stealing from the American people." He expressed pride in seeing their bill advance through the Small Business Committee.

In another tweet posted on February 11th, Rep. Curtis reflected on his virtual meeting with Utah legislators due to an inability to attend in person at the Utah State Capitol. He shared gratitude towards them while discussing priorities like strengthening local communities in Utah: "While I would have loved to be at the Utah State Capitol in person, I appreciated meeting virtually with legislators of both parties from the Utah House and Senate."
