Rep. John Curtis, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Utah's 3rd district since 2017, has recently shared insights and legislative updates through a series of tweets. Born in Salt Lake City in 1960 and currently residing in Provo, Curtis graduated from Brigham Young University in 1985. His social media activity reflects his focus on environmental issues, broadband transparency, and energy innovation.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Curtis highlighted the challenges posed by Utah's geography to air quality improvement efforts. He noted that "approximately 80% of our ozone comes from the Earth's surfaces or from outside of the region," leaving Utahns with control over only "20% of the ozone in the area." "I was pleased today to secure…"

The following day, March 6, he addressed concerns regarding federal spending on broadband infrastructure. He pointed out that there is "no public information on how $42 billion for a broadband program...has been spent," despite its failure to connect any households to the internet thus far. Curtis emphasized that their bill would ensure "public access to documents that show where this money is going."

Later on March 6, Rep. Curtis discussed a legislative initiative aimed at enhancing energy supply while reducing emissions. By proposing co-location of renewables with existing oil, gas, coal, and geothermal leased areas alongside Senator Hick, he aims to bolster grid energy supply through increased innovation and efficiency.
